I'm Alex — a Cape Town family and lifestyle photographer based on the Southern Peninsula, capturing real, unscripted moments
for families across the Western Cape and beyond.

My sessions aren't about lining everyone up and saying cheese. They're about golden hour light on little faces, the chaos of kids doing their thing,
parents actually in the photos and images you'll still be looking at in thirty years.
Whether we shoot at Scarborough beach, Noordhoek, Kommetjie, Hout Bay, Camps Bay, Constantia, or in the comfort of your own home,
every session is guided by real connection and natural light.

I offer an array of sessions: beach and outdoor shoots at Cape Town's most beautiful locations, in-home lifestyle sessions where I document
your family in your own space, and full family day-in-the-life stories that unfold from morning to evening.
I also offer maternity photography, newborn sessions and a cinematic keepsake film add-on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where ever you feel comfortable. In the comfort of your own home or on location out in nature. I am happy to make suggestions but I will always recommend being somewhere that will bring out the best in your kids and strike a chord in your heart.
Not to worry, I have a styling guide I send out before every shoot to help you in putting together the perfect wardrobe for an epic session!
So am I! Don’t worry, I won’t be asking you to hold uncomfortable poses. I try to capture you as you are, your natural family dynamic and interactions. The best way to “loosen up” is to arrange an activity. This will hold the kids attention and allow their genuine nature to shine. Try to think of things the kids like to do, or activities, games you enjoy as a family. If we are out and about, plan ahead what makes your kids laugh and quirks they or you have that defines your bond. But the best way to calm your nerves, is to fully emerse yourself in the time and love between you.

Not a problem. We can’t predict unforeseen circumstances and a sick little one can make for an unpleasant experience. So we will chat and try to find an alternative date that suits us both.

I know we are shooting in the suicide hours but I promise there is no better remedy than fresh air, cuddles and some fun play time. They will surprise you and absolutely love being up late with you.
