What should WE wear?

Not to worry, I have a styling guide I send out before every shoot to help you in putting together the perfect wardrobe for an epic session!

I’M A BIT AWKARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA…

So am I! Don’t worry, I won’t be asking you to hold uncomfortable poses. I try to capture you as you are, your natural family dynamic and interactions. The best way to “loosen up” is to arrange an activity. This will hold the kids attention and allow their genuine nature to shine. Try to think of things the kids like to do, or activities, games you enjoy as a family. If we are out and about, plan ahead what makes your kids laugh and quirks they or you have that defines your bond. But the best way to calm your nerves, is to fully emerse yourself in the time and love between you.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO POSTPONE OUR SHOOT?

Not a problem. We can’t predict unforeseen circumstances and a sick little one can make for an unpleasant experience. So we will chat and try to find an alternative date that suits us both.

CAN I HAVE THE RAW FILES?

Sorry but that’s a firm, no.

Do you travel?

YES ABSOLUTELY! I would love to be able to come to you and capture your special memories. This does mean however, that travel and accommodation costs would need to be covered by yourself and would vary depending on your location.

My kids go to bed before sunset hours…

Every. Parents. First. Response!
I know we are shooting in the suicide hours but I promise there is no better remedy than fresh air, cuddles and some fun play time. They will surprise you and absolutely love being up late with you.

WHERE DO WE SHOOT?

Where ever you feel comfortable. In the comfort of your own home or on location out in nature. I am happy to make suggestions but I will always recommend being somewhere that will bring out the best in your kids and strike a chord in your heart.

HOW DO I BOOK YOU?

Go to the BOOK NOW tab and fill in your details. You will then receive an invoice from me and once payment is made, your date will be booked.

WILL I RECEIVE COLOUR OR B&W images?

I have a real soft spot for black and white photography due to my roots in the darkroom. Each image has a different mood and will generally look better in one or the other, so each shoot will have a different ratio depending on the light, the location, your interaction and general mood of the shoot. In short, you will receive a good mix of both.

Can I bring my extended family along?

Your shoot includes your family unit, you and your kids. Should a granny, cousin or distant aunt thrice removed on your dad’s side wish to be present, I charge a small fee per additional person. Pets get a special waver of this clause and may pass freely through shots as they please ;)

WILL YOU SHARE MY IMAGES ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

I respect your privacy above and beyond anything and will always honour a request not to share. That being said, I love sharing all the beautiful families I capture. Sharing your dreamy photos is a vital part of driving business my way and giving visual inspiration to other families. You will receive a questionnaire with your invoice asking whether I may please share your images on my socials.

when will i receive my images?

You're eager to see the magic we created and believe me I am just as excited to get them to you! You can expect some sneak peeks within 5 days, and your full gallery will be delivered digitally within 4-weeks of our shoot date.
